THERE'tiger/bue eye and hawk is a variety of microcrystalline quartz, known for the unmistakable optical phenomenon known as gist of the commission.
The cause of g attitude are inclusions of pseudomorphic quartz on crucidolite, a mineral with very thin fibrous crystals, originally grey blue, which underwent some transformations including silicization; golden yellow color is given by limonitis, iron oxide.
