Natural Zultanite Stone

The diaspora, also known as the zultanite, is a hydroxide discovered in 1801 in Russia.

It is a very rare and particularly brilliant gem but what makes it fascinating and famous is its characteristic color variation that can pass from an intense green to a purple or yellowish pink depending on whether you look at it using different types of light or that you observe the same gem under the sunlight at different times.

The name Zultanite was coined in 2005 by Murat Akgun that gave a gem of diasporus to the 36 founding sultans of the ottoman empire precisely with the intention to use this name to refer to a gem that changed color.
