THERE'amethyst is a colored variety of quartz, gem belonging to the group of silicates.

It exhibits its dyed specimens ranging from purple to violet and bluish purple, thanks to the presence of iron'chromophore element.

The citrine quartz belongs to the great family of quarzi and is characterized mainly by its natural beauty as this mineral is born with the most sparkling shades of yellow, ranging from light yellow to orange yellow.

Fundamental is the presence of iron, the element chromophore, which gives this gem its unmistakable color.

The Prasiolite is a green variety of quartz, mineral that is known to be alchromatic.

The characteristic light green color of prasiolite, is produced by amethyst quartz heating: this heating, which causes changes in the iron contained within the crystalline grid, is caused by particular geological events. An example is volcanic eruptions where the lava produced heats the amethyst contained in the rocks.
