Description

The Golden Eye is a stone similar to'tiger eye, or a variety of microcrystalline quartz known for the optical phenomenon called gist of the commission.

The cause of g attitude are inclusions of pseudomorphic quartz on crucidolite, a mineral with very thin fibrous crystals. In the golden eye these crystals appear even thinner than normal, giving the gem a more luminous and striking optical phenomenon than the tiger eye. Not by chance "golden eye" translates from English as "gold eye".
