Description

The Calcium is the name of crystallized calcium carbonate in the trigonal system. It is mainly colourless or white, but impurities of various origin allow the calcite to assume multiple shades of color, such as blue, yellow, pink, etc.

It is widespread in sedimentary rocks, but the most beautiful crystals and the massive colored varieties are found in hydrothermal veins, often associated with quartz.
