Description

The Charoite is a calcium and potassium silicate, with a rather complex chemical formula. It is a mineral that almost always develops by associating itself with other minerals, so by some scholars it is considered a rock.

The name of this gem comes from the Chara River (or Charo), located in Siberia, the first discovery occurred in 1949 and the only extractive site currently known.
