Description
The Topaz belongs to the mining group of nesosilicates. Commonly it is colourless, but the presence of chromophore chemical elements (i.e. colorants), makes this gem have a very wide range of colors.
The presence of chrome makes the gem of pink color, red and on the tones of violet, while atomic alterations of the crystalline structure can instead make it yellow, brown and in rare cases, even blue.
