Dente Fossile by Megalodonte

The Megalodo is a kind of shark among the largest existed on earth, it reached colossal dimensions with a length between ten and twenty meters, and a weight up to 80 tons! She disappeared a few million years ago after a global cooling that caused her disappearance.

The only trace left intact of this incredible creature are its teeth, mainly because unlike the skeleton that being cartilage seldom is preserved during the processes of fossilization, they are composed of a mineral called fluoropathies, very hard and durable, able to keep itself exceptionally.
